Elk River Arts & Lectures is hosting a poetry workshop at the Park County Senior Center!
Montana’s former Poet Laureate, Michael Earl Craig, will run this 2-session poetry workshop:
Workshop participants will use photographs and memories from their lives as writing prompts, doing a series of writing exercises and eventually crafting poems – with Craig’s guidance!
This workshop is geared toward seniors, but everyone is welcome. Free for Senior Center members, $2 for non-members. Registration is not required.

Michael Earl Craig’s most recent book of poems is Woods and Clouds Interchangeable (Wave Books, 2019). He’s published poems in various magazines, journals and anthologies, including Poetry, The Believer, The New Yorker, and The Best American Poetry 2014. A recent Poet Laureate for the state of Montana, he lives in the Shields Valley where he shoes horses for a living.
