Bicycle ride in Yellowstone National Park: Pedal For Public Lands!

The Pedal for Public Lands bicycle ride is one way we can rally and support Yellowstone, our public lands, and the stewards of those lands!

Here are the details:

  • Route: Upper Mammoth parking lot towards Norris junction on Grand Loop road (Hwy 89). For those with extra stamina, Madison Junction is always an option.

  • Length: Round trip to Norris is approximately 42 miles (3-4 hours). To Madison, it's about 70 miles (7-8 hours). Go as far as you'd like, and be sure to stay with a buddy!

  • Carpooling: We're leaving Livingston from the Albertson's parking lot at 6:00 AM. Please arrive by 5:45 AM to load bikes and gear. RSVP for carpooling is essential to livingstonbikeclub@gmail.com by April 10th.

  • Park Entry: A National Parks Pass or daily entrance fee is required. Carpooling with a pass holder is a great option!

Remember to bring: Plenty of food and water, extra layers, a bike tool, extra tire tube, first aid kit and your binoculars.

Why this ride matters:

  • For our businesses: Well-managed  and supported public lands mean a thriving local economy.

  • For our federal employees: They are the stewards of these lands, and they need us to show up in support.

  • For our recreationists, and our cycling community: Access to these incredible landscapes is a privilege we must protect and continue to enjoy!

  • For our wildlife and wild landscapes: We have a responsibility to ensure their preservation for generations to come.

Join us on April 12th for one of a kind ride through Yellowstone National Park, a community celebration to honor, support and celebrate this unique landscape!
